Two Canada Geese stand on a solid sheet of ice at the Hennepin Canal in Tskilwa, while on either side of them ice cracks and sinks below the water. The anticipation of Spring has begun building this past week with showers, sunshine, and temperatures topping 60 degrees, but there still are giant clumps of snow and masses of ice yet to be melted in the Illinois Valley. |
